Hampton Va Needs Citizen Input on the Budget

The city of Hampton needs citizens to give their input on the budget for the coming year.  Hampton Va prides themselves on having citizens part take in the budget year to year to make sure all needs are met.  There are several ways a citizen of Hampton Va can put their input in on the budget.

The city of Hampton VA is hosting several public polling forums starting February 28th.  The first is at Hunter B. Andrews School on Victoria Blvd from 6-8pm on the 28th of February.  Next at Phoebus High School on Ireland Street on the 3rd of March from 9-11a.m., again on March the 7th, Citizens can go to George Phenix School on Big Bethel Road from 6-8pm and one more time on the 10th of March from 9-11a.m. at the West Hampton Community Center on Briarfield Road.

There will be online polling for Citizens of Hampton Va to get their input on the budget from February 29th-March 11th at www.hampton.gov

Hampton City Council will have a public hearing on the FY13 Budget on April 25th at 7pm.  They will have a Budget work session at 1pm on the 2nd of May, followed by a public hearing on the budget at 7pm.  Then on Wednesday May 9th at 6pm, the regular public comment session by Hampton City Council and then the Adoption of the FY13 budget will take place at 7pm.

There will also be online chats by the city of Hampton, noon on Thursdays: March 1st, 22 and 29th.  Go to www.hampton.gov/chat to follow online.
